At least 1.3 tons of garbage were collected by 200 residents, officials, and volunteers from DILG Sugbo Provincial Office, Dasig Cluster headed by CLGOO Liza Fernandez, Talisay City Government represented by Sangguniang Panlungsod member Hon. Alito Bacaltos and Atty. Rudelyn Navarro, Barangay Mohon led by Punong Barangay Dario Villaver, Talisay City Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and private partners during today’s clean-up drive in line with the Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan (KALINISAN) program of the Department.
The KALINISAN program, which is aligned with the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr, is a convergence initiative that aims to provide and maintain a healthy and safe environment through community participation anchored on “bayanihan”.
