Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. had a dialogue with DILG local government sector and Regional Management and Coordinating Committee (RMCC) expanded family on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Cebu City.
It was Atty. Abalos’ first-ever interfacing outside of Metro Manila as DILG Secretary. Sec. Abalos reiterated his brand of leadership, which is to serve and not to be served, and his priority programs, including strengthening the war against illegal drugs.
The Secretary vowed to help address the problems of the region in terms of decongesting jails and equipping the Department’s attached agencies, among others. DILG-7 Director Leocadio Trovela and the DILG-7 Family officials vowed to fully support the programs of the Secretary.
