As part of the inter-agency endeavor to maintain the momentum of the Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan (KALINISAN) sa Bagong Pilipinas Program, DILG Bohol participated in the Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BARKADA) Clean-Up Drive at Barangay Tawala, Panglao led by Punong Barangay Hon. Felix M. Loreniana on April 27, 2024.
Barangay Tawala, Panglao, has been chosen as the second showcase barangay in the province of Bohol for the KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas Program—a convergence initiative that aims to unite all efforts to create and preserve a safe and healthy environment for everyone through community participation.
Several government partner agencies – including the LGU of Panglao, led by Hon. Mayor Edgardo F. Arcay, Tagbilaran City Police Station, Philippine National Police, BFP R7 Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal Bohol Province, DENR, CENRO, CAAP, DepEd-Panglao District, and the barangay officials of Brgy. Danao and Brgy. Tawala were also involved in the activity.
