In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-7 emphasized the role of women in the social, cultural, economic and political development of the nation.
The celebration kicked off on Monday with the opening of the week-long DILG Women Entrepreneurs Booth Display at the Regional Office in Sudlon, Lahug.
DILG-7 Director led the opening of the booth together with Assistant Regional Director Maria Loisella Lucino, Mandaue City Director Johnjoan Mende, and division chiefs Atty. Ferdinand Albaño of FAD, Maria Thelya Oporto of LGCDD and Celerino Magto Jr. of LGMED.
Products displayed in the booth are pre-loved items, bags, accessories, iced coffee, fruit shake, and snack food, among others.
Part of the activity is the Seminar on Foundational Values and Ethics of Public Servants set on March 15, and the wellness booth and mobile coffee shop on Friday.
