The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-7 joined the annual global celebration of the International Day of Forests led by the DENR Central Visayas Regional Office in coordination with CENRO Argao on March 21, 2023, at Pugalo, Alcoy, Cebu.
The activity, with the Theme: “Healthy Forest for Healthy People,” kick-off with a mangrove planting activity and a short ceremony.
The personnel who represented the DILG-7 were Accountant II Ronnel Atuel, IO I Charles Albert Caayaman, ADA IV Abondio Habulin, ADA IV Joselito Albino, and Ralfe Jacalan.
Also present were the representatives from CSC, DEPED, PNP, LGU Alcoy, DMC, FAO, and other sectors.
Further, DILG-7 conveyed its resolute commitment to promoting the quality development of our environmental management system towards sustainable environmental protection and conservation.
