The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)–7 conducted an earthquake drill on Thursday, March 9, at the Regional Office as the in-person Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill resumes after being limited for the past three years caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) IV Leo Pasilang, the designated safety and health officer, facilitated and observed the proper implementation of the exercise and drills among Regional Office personnel.
Over the course of three year, the COVID-19 pandemic posed limits on the conduct of the preparedness and response exercises and drills, inducing the usual physically interactive NSED, aimed at testing and validating contingency plans, as well as in assessing and enhancing preparedness for response at all levels and sectors.
