The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-7 gathered youth leaders for the Batang Kaparis ni Rizal (BATARIZ) Batch 4 and the National Youth Summit 2024 in Dauin Negros Oriental on Nov. 4 to 8, 2024.
The three-day activity foster camaraderie and leadership among youth who came different universities and colleges and youth organizations from Negros Oriental, Cebu, Bohol and Siquijor.
The initiative is led by Regional Director Leocadio Trovela as part of the region’s empowerment program for the youth in partnership the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Center for Leaders, and the Knights of Rizal.
For this conduct of leadership training DILG 7 partnered with the the Local Governance Reform Program-Project Management Office (DLGRAP-PMO) from the Central Office hosted the leadership activity for the youth leaders.
Also, during the activity the Batariz Writers Guild of DILG 7 was onboard and recruited new members for the upcoming activities that involve documentation and field exposure.
