The Department of the Interiro LG-7, Cultural and Historical Affairs Office (CHAO)-Cebu City, Knights of Rizal (KOR), and the Portrait Artists Society of the Philippines Inc. (PASPI) organized a live sketching session and exhibit in celebration of the 2023 National Arts Month.
Artists from PASPI led by its president Ramon de Dios imparted their time and artistic excellence in live sketching held at the DILG-7’s Regional Office in Sudlon, Lahug on Tuesday, February 21.
At least 15 artists from PASPI draw portraits in oil on canvas and charcoal medium. The subjects were personnel from the DILG-7 office.
Musician Marcial Quintanilla played Saxophone in a special number to entertain the participants.
Knight Grand Cross of Rizal Romualdo Generalao also lectured on arts appreciation.
Later in the afternoon, Dir. Trovela and De Dios spearheaded the ribbon-cutting ceremony which signaled the opening of the PASPI exhibit entitled “KADAIYA.”
The exhibit, which will run until March 1 at the Regional Office, is in collaboration with CHAO-Cebu City, Cebu City Museum, and DILG-7.
