Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Visayas Director Leocadio Trovela was interviewed by GMA 7 news anchor Alan Domingo on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Cebu City.
Dir. Trovela talked about the programs of the Department, and the upcoming grand launch of the flagship campaign against illegal drugs, the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program.
DILG-7 will host the Visayas leg of the simultaneous launch on Saturday, November 26, at the Plaza Independencia in Cebu City with close to 4,000 expected participants. The BIDA program is an intensified and more holistic campaign against illegal drugs to reduce drug demand in the communities underscoring the PNP, PDEA, NBI & other agencies of government’s continued intensity in the war against drugs within the framework of the law, with respect for human rights, and complemented by rehabilitation and socioeconomic development.
