Officials from the national government agencies (NGA) led by DILG-7 and civil society organizations converged for a direct interface with citizens in the Regional Dagyaw Open Government Town Hall Meetings in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
The 2022 Dagyaw was conducted simultaneously with participants from Cebu Province and HUCs, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor joining the dialogue thru online platform.Bohol Provincial Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado gave the welcome message, followed with the discussion of DILG-7’s Director Leocadio Trovela on the Department’s Thrusts Towards Reinforcing Participatory and Transparent Governance.
The resource persons were Tourism Chief Operations Officer of DOT-7 Judy Gabato, Network Coordinator of Kaabag sa Sugbo Foundation Inc. Catherine Ruiz and Bohol Transport Cooperative consultant Joselino Baritua. Participants were given time to raise local concerns and seek guidance from the NGAs in the open forum.
DILG Bohol Province Director Jerome Gonzales delivered the closing message. Later in the afternoon, the sub-regional offices hold a simultaneous Provincial Dagyaw in Cebu City, Dumaguete City, Tagbilaran City and Siquijor.
