Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-7 Regional Director Leocadio Trovela urges LGUs to adopt the new technology for the processing of business permits and licensing system during the eBPLS Users’ Training and Data Build-up at the Municipal Tourism Office in the Municipality of Valencia, Negros Oriental on Wednesday.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) led the three-day seminar on computerizing the business permits and licensing system thru eBPLS software, which enables LGUs to process application for new and renewal of business permits electronically.

Trovela attended the third day of the seminar together with Valencia Vice-Mayor Romeo Alviola, Municipal treasurer Rolando Obaniana and DICT’s provincial team leader Engr. Aurelio Tinapay.

With the enactment of Republic Act 11032 otherwise known as Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, all cities and municipalities are mandated to automate business permits within three years upon effectivity of RA 11032.
